How do I know that message-based therapy will be effective?
Our product is built on research demonstrating that messaging-based therapy is an effective and engaging intervention for improving mental health. In fact, in a recent study of patients with serious mental illness, over 90% of participants reported satisfaction with messaging-enhanced treatment, and recovery was significantly greater for those who engaged with message-based treatment (Ben-Zeev et al., 2020). Over 35 studies have reinforced this evidence through more than a decade of research (Berrouiguet et al., 2016). For companies, that means employees are happier, stay longer, and take fewer sick days.
Will the platform take up too much time?
Trusst is an on-demand service that takes a fraction of the time it would take to receive traditional care. We find that the quick, discreet, and flexible structure of Trusst actually saves employees and employers time. Rather than taking several hours off of work to travel to and from hour-long therapy sessions, employees can manage their mental health throughout the day – checking in with their therapist on breaks or after-hours.
Privacy? Security? Compliance? Data?
Trusst takes security very seriously. Given the confidential nature of our records, we have set strict security protocols. We adhere to HIPAA guidelines which include logging access to our database, encryption at rest in the database, and encryption in transit. All data is encoded in the database using 256-bit encryption, no messages are stored locally on the phone, and users are given the option of including a passcode to open the app. Neither staff, nor developers read messages without the written consent of a clinician and end-user.
Does Trusst therapy work for a range of issues?
Message-based therapy is linked to symptom remission and treatment satisfaction for both depression and anxiety (Hull & Mahan, 2017). Additionally, over 35 studies have shown that message-based therapy improves symptoms of PTSD, schizophrenia and substance use (Berrouiguet et al., 2016). The platform can be used to augment existing in-person or virtual therapy, or act on its own. It is important to reiterate, however, that Trusst is not not an emergency service. To best support Trusst clients in emergency situations, the app has built-in access to the Crisis Text Line.
Is Trusst easy for my company to implement?
Our simple implementation process takes less than two weeks. Trusst will spend that time sharing our toolbox of informational material, video walk-throughs and training opportunities with both your HR team and employees. We'll also help your team understand how exactly Trusst improves health outcomes through our comprehensive onboarding webinars. From here, our intuitive platform and flexible model make it easy for employees to start receiving care right away.
How much will Trusst cost?
Trusst is committed to supporting your employees with the latest in flexible and effective mobile mental healthcare at a price that works for you. Trusst for Businesses is generally sold in packages of 25 "seats" where 1 user = 1 seat, and costs less than $5,000 per month. Our team will be happy to fit Trusst into your budget.
